Chassis Mount Canopy / Service Body: A Lighter Ute Setup for Work

For tradies and fleet vehicles that don’t need to remove the canopy, a chassis mount canopy, also known as a service body, can offer a much more weight-efficient setup than running a separate ute tray and canopy.

If the canopy is staying on the ute permanently, why carry the extra weight of a tray underneath it?

Instead of mounting a canopy on top of a complete aluminium tray, the service body is mounted directly to the vehicle chassis. By removing the tray structure underneath the canopy, you can reduce unnecessary weight while still keeping the enclosed storage and access required for everyday work.
