We've owned our Tong Camper for 12 months and travelled 18,000 km on various trips across Australia, on all sorts of roads and weather conditions. This is a first class product that really simplifies the camping journey for us and avoids the high cost and maintenance obligation of towed solutions.
Canopy: Great product at a great price. Tong is very easy to deal with, nothing is too much trouble. Feels like dealing with family.
5 stars to Tong metal team, they offered a great product and professional installation for my new ute. I also love the old school way reliable communication service. They are very kind person to running family business over a decade. Always remember support a local business and get a decent Aussie made product you will never regret.

Damaged my door on my 12 year old toolbox over the weekend due to being impatient and my 2 screaming kids. Called the guys at Tong Metal Northgate on Saturday. Had it in on Monday morning, got it back Monday afternoon looking brand new. Great workmanship, excellent after sales customer service and great quality toolboxes to last 12 years without skipping a beat. Cheers guys!
Had my tong box for 10 years hasn’t missed a beat, recently lost the keys and needed a spare. The lady refused to let me pay for the spare key as I’d purchased the box from tong. What an awesome business, just confirms they’re the best toolbox place in Brisbane. Shane -steele house raising
No doubt best quality and value for money around! Only tip is get in much earlier than needed, as always booked at least a month ahead.
Travelled from the NT to have a fabricated tray fitted and Wayne and the team established a suitable fixed schedule with me by phone prior for the work. I required this in order to travel with confidence. Excellent alloy welding of joins, very neat and tidy Auto electrical work. These trays are very good value for money and I couldn't be more happy. Exceeded my expectations.
Excellent service and attention to details. Well thought designs and exceedingly good workmanship and quality. No going back to the cheapos and imported flat packs etc. I am enjoying the high quality metal product with assurance that it wont disappoint me when it is needed the most. By avoiding "poor people buy twice", I know I am getting the best bang for the buck from day 1 thru investing in reliable gears for my trade.
Quality looking product with unheard of 10 year warranty, glad I stopped in. My Canopy search is over. Edit: I picked up my canopy and it is A1 quality like the ones I saw when I first dropped in. The guy that fitted it to my tray did a great job making sure everything was perfectly aligned before drilling and bolting it down. I am very happy with the canopy and the service from everyone at Tong Metal.
One of the best designed campers i have seen. Sales guy was super helpful and patient.
Camped now for 7wks and it is great. We fit into some small sites and comfortable. Have lined inside walls with felt to reduce the chill as in Tasmania. Awning is great too
